1 Question to Flip You from Frantic Hustling to Calm Problem-Solving
Here’s one thing I know is true:
You already know how to solve your problems.
You are a highly insightful, incredibly hardworking, genius-level problem-solver ALREADY.
Just look at the results you’ve already created in your life.
So when you find yourself stuck and spinning and feeling frantic and like you don’t know what to do…
You don’t need a coach to give you “the answer.”
You need a coach to help you notice that you’ve fallen OUT of “effective problem-solving mode” and help you get back IN it and STAY in it.
And here’s one question to help you snap back into effective problem-solving mode in an instant:
If you already had what you want, how would you handle the situation in front of you?
If you had already been promoted, how would you handle this meeting?
If you already had the credibility you want in the organization, how would you communicate to your colleagues?
If you’d already had a successful launch, how would you plan this launch?
If you were already financially secure, how would you manage your finances?
If you already weighed how much you want to weigh, how would you handle the holiday party?
Notice how you feel when you step into this hypothetical, even for a moment.
For me, my shoulders drop, the tension in my chest eases, and I feel like I can see clearly again.
And new ideas start occurring to me.
I get a completely different, calm and secure perspective on the situation.
And an answer bubbles up in my mind. “Of course. I would do this.”
And that’s all you need to get started.
Keep asking yourself this question in EVERY situation where your frantic hustle gets triggered.
This isn’t a one-and-done solution. Your brain will go back to feeling frantic, and you’ll have ask it this question, again and again. It’s a practice.
And as you do this again and again, you will build your playbook for how to handle ALL the situations you face in a calm, secure, effective way.
Because the problem-solving you do when you’re feeling frantic and desperate and behind and not-good-enough is not effective problem-solving.
It doesn’t get you the best results. You’re likely to be reactive and short-sighted rather than calm and thoughtful.
And it’s not sustainable in the long run. You can’t feel that crappy all the time — at some point, you will burn out.
You don’t need to change your situation in order to feel better.
You need to feel better in order to change your situation.
And this is exactly what I teach you how to do in my course.
You will learn how to notice when you’ve slipped into an ineffective problem-solving mode.
How to build up a more effective way of thinking, feeling, and reacting — that gets you the results you want without burning you out.
How to implement that new way of thinking consistently in every area of your life that needs it.
And how to troubleshoot and problem-solve when implementation isn’t going smoothly (because it takes reps, wobbles, and experimentation to figure it out — and that’s 100% normal).
You’ll have all my best teaching for every one of these steps at your finger tips.
You’ll have me available for coaching to help you through each step as you’re doing it.
And you’ll have a cohort of peers going through the all same things as you, so you can learn from each others’ experiences and be reminded that you’re not alone.
We’ll start with the biggest, most pressing problems — the stress you feel at work and your uncertainty around whether or not you should stay in this job.
And once that’s resolved, we’ll keep working our way down the list, knocking things out one at a time until you’re living the exact life you want.
