Anchor to 0, not 100
Don’t ask: What’s everything I need to do to get promoted?
Ask: What’s the least I can get away with doing…and still get promoted?
Look at every single stretch opportunity and ask: Can I get away with NOT doing that?
Don’t ask: What’s everything I need to do today?
Ask: What’s the least I can get away with doing today…and still be on track?
Look at every single thing on your to-do list and ask: Can I get away with NOT doing that?
Don’t ask: What’s everything I need to do to achieve my health and fitness goals?
Ask: What’s the least I can get away with doing…and still be healthy?
Look at every single thing on your game plan and ask: Can I get away with NOT doing that?
As I’m working on the digital course I’m putting together for you guys, I’m NOT asking: What’s everything they need to know to create the lives they want?
I’m asking: What’s the LEAST they can get away with knowing…and still create the lives they want?
For every sentence I write and concept I include, I ask myself: Can they get away with NOT knowing that?
We’re so used to “anchoring to 100” when we make plans.
The A++ perfect vision of EVERYTHING we need to do to achieve a goal beautifully and comprehensively and without leaving any box unchecked pops into our head immediately.
And we anchor to that vision as THE path to success.
When you anchor to 100 — when you anchor to that vision — anything you do that’s LESS than that feels like a loss.
So stop anchoring to 100.
Anchor to 0.
Anchor to doing absolutely NOTHING.
When you do that, ANYTHING you do feels like a win (and it IS a win).
And asking “What’s the LEAST I need to do to accomplish this?”…
…Forces you to make your plan simpler, easier, and more doable.
And when your plan is simple, easy, and doable…
…Your brain is excited to get started because it can already feel the fun and satisfaction of getting it DONE.
So go out there and do the least :)
