Be disciplined about the right things
Here’s my wish for you—
I’d rather have you be LESS disciplined about doing what you said you’d do…
…if that means you’re MORE disciplined about listening to your own live intuition and adjusting the plan based on what it’s telling you in the current moment.
I’d rather have you LESS on guard against making mistakes and doing it wrong…
…if that means you’re MORE on guard against dismissing your own ideas and intuitions too quickly.
I’d rather that you be BAD at always doing what you should do…
…if that means you’re GOOD at always doing what you want to do.
I’d rather have you NOT do it the way you’re supposed to…
…if that means you do it in the most YOU way possible.
There are some branches of therapy and coaching that start with the assumption that something is wrong with you.
You’re lazy. You’re uncommitted. You’re undisciplined.
Your brain is short-term-focused, pleasure-seeking, and not to be trusted with anything.
At your core, there is something foolish and weak that must be managed and fixed.
And there are other branches of therapy and coaching that start with assumption that nothing is wrong with you.
You are quick. You are perceptive. You are resilient.
Your brain is working hard to be on your side, protecting you and loving you in more ways than you can ever understand.
At your core, there is something strong and wise, that only needs to be listened to.
The core problem is not that something is wrong with you…
But simply that sometimes, your internal wisdom conflicts with itself.
And the reason for a coach is to help you, in those moments…
Tease apart your conflicting inner wisdom.
Listen to each side one at a time and understand its real underlying goals and needs.
And develop an integrated answer that accounts for ALL the wise things within you without leaving anything behind.
I don’t want to help you fix yourself.
I want to help you befriend yourself.
I don’t want you to be “better.”
I want you to be more YOU.
And if that’s what you want too, then come talk to me, and let’s begin.
You can drop by anytime for a no-strings-attached coffee chat ☕️
It’s not a sales pitch.
It’s just an opportunity for us to discuss whatever’s on your mind…
And I’ll offer some one-off coaching and brainstorming about your situation.
Or you can book a consult call, and we can map out a full coaching engagement.
So you can build the skill of listening and integrating your own internal wisdom…
So you can build your career and your life around flow.
What my clients have to say…
“I love when Pooja drops wisdom. It’s always, like, a five word sentence that I’ll write down in my journal and refer back to.
It’s like sometimes you’ll read a whole book just to get that one sentence. And it’s kind of like having this encyclopedic friend who’s just like, ‘You said all this stuff. Don’t read that book. Let me just tell you the five words.’ And it’s really incredible.”

I help high achievers build their careers around flow.
This requires…
Internally, learning how to access your flow no matter what’s going on around you
Externally, designing a career strategy that angles your flow at a high-priority problem that someone will pay you good money to solve
Tactically, navigating the transition from where you are right now to where you want to be
Today’s article focused on #1.
