You've got it backwards.
You think: Once I achieve the thing, then I’ll believe in myself.
The reality is: Once you believe in yourself, then you’ll achieve the thing.
You think: Once I get everything done, then I’ll feel like I’m on top of things.
The reality is: Once you feel like you’re on top of things, then you’ll get everything done.
You think: Once I weigh X lbs, then I’ll feel beautiful.
The reality is: Once you feel beautiful, then you’ll figure out how to get to (and stay at!) X lbs.
You think: Once I get into a relationship, then I’ll feel loved.
The reality is: Once you feel loved, then you’ll find the right relationship.
You think: Once my kids do XYZ, then I’ll feel like a good parent.
The reality is: Once you feel like a good parent, then you’ll figure out how to get your kids to do XYZ.
You think: Once I have what I want, I’ll be happy.
The reality is: Once you’re happy, you’ll be able to get what you want.
You want to feel a certain way and be a certain kind of person.
Everyone does. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
Where we trip ourselves up is in thinking that those emotions and beliefs about ourselves are the END RESULT of doing things.
But you’ve got it backwards.
The emotions and the beliefs come FIRST.
They are the TOOLS that enable you to do things.
Happiness, peace, calm, alignment, pride, safety, love — all those things you want.
None of them are the end result.
All of them are the TOOLS that get you there.
So how the heck do you generate those emotions? How do you USE these tools when your brain is insisting that there’s nothing to feel happy or proud about right now?
That’s exactly what I teach my clients how to do.
Come talk to me and let me tell you how.
